This course provides the necessary information and training for organisations to understand more about the risks associated with manual handling, how to undergo a risk assessment and how to ensure appropriate control measures are put in place.
Incorrect lifting techniques result in many workers suffering injuries to their back and neck. In fact, these comprise the largest group of injuries seen in the workplace – musculoskeletal disorders (HSE Statistics).
Candidates will learn a variety of topics including the risks of moving & handling, legal duties placed on employers and employees and correct handling techniques. The full course content is:

How long will it take?
To complete this qualification, learners should expect to undertake 10 hours of guided learning.
Assessment and Certification
This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination and a practical examination
Successful candidates will receive Certificates shortly after the training day.
We recommend that training is renewed annually to stay up to date with the latest procedures and legislation.
