Course Duration
First Aid for Mental Health Awareness Level 1 Distance Learning course runs over 2.5 hours in the virtual classroom. In addition, the learner will be provided with some learning materials, to undertake individual study and guided research.

The course is aimed at anyone who wants to raise the awareness and understanding of the more common mental health conditions, including anxiety and depression. Learners will gain an appreciation of how to offer help or support who is struggling with their mental health or wellbeing, which could be a colleague, friend or family member.

Qualification Assessment
The qualification is assessed on video conferencing software. A private professional discussion between the tutor / assessor and each learner is used to assess the knowledge, understanding and skill level of each learner. For further information please see the Qualification Specification
